Huawei Ascend P2 – Fastest 4G Smartphone
The Mobile World Congress 2013 kicked off with the announcement of Huawei Ascend P2 as expected. Claiming the world’s fastest 4G smartphone.

The speed lies with its 4F LTE CAT4 connectivity, it’ll accept download speed of up to 150 Mbps, dependant on your network carrier and signal strength.
The smartphone is measured at 8.4mm thick with an Infinity Edge Display, which has a curved bezel designed to be reminiscent of an infinity pool. The Ascend P2′s touch screen offers the very first 4.7-inch in-cell HD display with a 315 pixels per inch resolution. The display screen also contains a technology which enables functionality through gloves – so now you can text or call on a freezing winter’s night with ease and warmth, as Huawei’s CEO demonstrated.
As if the handset isn’t already thin enough, the company claims it could be even thinner if it wasn’t for the 13-megapixel camera. Which has a 2X Zoom Super Resolution and a face recognition feature, enable the device to scan a user’s face and if it matches a previously tagged picture of them, it then automatically display the name on the screen.
A quad-core engine sits nicely inside the Ascend P2 with its power pumped from a massive 2,420 mAh battery, that’s 320 mAh more than the Samsung Galaxy S III.

Huawei’s new Emotion UI Android skin gets a first glimpse on the Ascend P2. The company’s intention for the skin was to improve user experience and understanding of the Android system. A MeWidget function has the ability to store your most frequently used apps and numbers in a widget on the smartphone’s home screen.
The Huawei Ascend phone will go on sale world wide commencing April 2013, although it will not be available in the U.S. for any major carriers, but can still be purchased online.
